What a thrill to return to VO Atlanta, the world’s largest and longest-running conference for voiceover professionals. Lucky for me, it’s held right here in my city! With 1000 attendees, it was an energizing and inspiring weekend of curated panels and small sessions designed to help voice actors in every area of the industry stay up-to-date with trends, performance skills, best practices for running solopreneur businesses and getting advice and insight from industry experts. What I love about this conference is its focus on empowering performers with knowledge not only about the technical and performance aspects of voice acting, but the importance of mindset and emotional preparation as well. I attended many sessions devoted to audiobook narration and appreciated the insight, passion, and enthusiasm of all the presenters, including audiobook superstars Scott Brick, Suzanne Elise Freeman, Sean Pratt, Joel Froomkin, Ana Clements, Ray Porter, Billie Fulford-Brown, and Andre Santana. And it was so worth it getting up very early to listen to the always-inspirational and entertaining veteran screen and voice actor Glen Morshower deliver a talk on “Audition Mastery: The Art of Booking the Job.” So many people poured their hearts into making this conference a success—most of all, Anna and J. Michael Collins, who organize it every year. A true labor of love. Looking forward to VO Atlanta 2026 and the opportunity to meet and connect once again with other VO professionals from all over the world!
