…Rome, Georgia, that is! I spent a couple of days exploring this lovely north Georgia city while shooting a commercial for Atrium Health, a healthcare network based in Charlotte, NC that’s renowned for its top-ranked pediatric, cancer and heart care, as well as organ transplants, burn treatments and specialized musculoskeletal programs. I play an oncology nurse supporting a cancer patient who has just completed her chemotherapy treatment. It was a very moving and emotional scene with a great group of actors (and we even recruited a couple of actual doctors to be in the spot). While we weren’t able to take pictures on set because it was a real hospital filled with real patients, I snapped this shot in the elevator. And I enjoyed sightseeing on the campus of nearby Berry College, where there are acres of beautiful nature trails and an historic water wheel that’s one of the largest in the nation, built in 1930!
