What A Day —  On Set + Behind The Mic!

First up: The day started dark and early at 5:30 am so I could be on set to embody a vivacious, bigger-than-life character for a new indie comedy TV pilot. I loved collaborating with the director, Lia Lee, the writer and executive producer, Caroline Donica, and the entire crew on this shoot. Everyone was so professional, and it was a no-stress environment of passionate creatives invested in making the best possible product while having fun. I can’t wait to see this project take off!

Next: I was off to an Audiobook Narrator Showcase at John Marshall Media’s newly re-opened Atlanta studio. During this invitation-only all-day event, 45 local narrators read 5-minute selections of our choice for audiobook producers and publishers who were either listening in the room, streaming the event live, or watching the recording. We also had the opportunity to socialize and connect with each other throughout the day and hear from JMM’s staff as well as movers and shakers from Penguin Random House and SourceBooks to learn about current best practices and trends in the audiobook industry. I met a lot of new faces and also reconnected with old friends. Most of all, I was reminded of how supportive the audiobook community is, despite the fact that we spend a lot of time isolated in our sound booths! Thanks to John Marshall Cheary, JMM’s NYC-based founder, as well as Kevin Stillwell, Chris Fogg, and all the folks at the Atlanta studio for making this showcase such a success.

So grateful to be part of these creative communities!
