Look Ma, I’m Doing Improv!

Throughout my career I‘ve studied many different acting techniques, and I’m always eager to add new skills to my toolbox. Improv has always been a little intimidating to me because it is so impulse-driven and demands that you get out of your head and be fully present and connected in the moment with your partner, with no scripted words to rely on. But this is also what makes it so freeing, playful and joyful.


I feel so fortunate to have found a company of improv actors under the skilled direction of David Webster, founder of Atlanta’s acclaimed Whole World Theatre, who has created a new form of improv developed for television called “Spontaneous Emotional Acting” (SEA) that he teaches to our dedicated company of Groove Cats.
